With over 40 years of experience throughout Southern Ontario, the TransitCom division of Net Electric can deliver a full suite of electrical, communications and automation solutions. We combined all our experience and expertise when developing TransitCom SCADA system from the ground up. Our solutions are highly customizable, pair seamlessly with older and legacy systems, creating state-of-the-art integrated networks while using the most current equipment and software in the industry.

Net Electric Limited is a company where staff has the responsibility and authority to deal with our client’s problems and queries as they arise. The only way in which we can make our staff trustworthy is to trust them. They are empowered to make decisions while being mindful of the cost to the company.

Our History

Net Electric Limited was incorporated in 1976 in order to focus on the developing Commercial, Institutional and Industrial (I.C.I.) burgeoning market sectors within the Greater Toronto Area. The company core values of honesty, integrity and reliability are the foundations upon which we have succeeded. We pride ourselves on the close working partnerships with our customers and with the most respected general contractors in the Province.

At Net Electric, we pride ourselves in our ability to complete projects on time, and on budget. Our strong commitment to the safety and well-being of our employees is our top priority. Encouraged is training and awareness with an unwavering commitment to Quality Control and Assurance.

We Strive for Safety Excellence

We believe every incident is preventable and that a goal of zero incidents is achievable. It is our policy to perform all work in the safest manner possible and be consistent with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects as well as industry-set requirements. Net Electric has achieved the Certificate of Recognition (COR), assuring our business parters that our Health & Safety program has been externally audited, reviewed and complies with national standards.cor logo

While it is our responsibility to provide a work environment that is as free as possible from potential hazards, our employees are responsible for the following;

  1. Performing all work in the safest possible manner
  2. Reporting hazards and/or unsafe conditions
  3. Using suitable personal protective equipment as required

In all circumstances, first priority is given to protecting our employees, visitors and subcontractors from workplace injuries, and preserving materials and company assets from fire, damage and other losses.

In the unfortunate event of a workplace injury, and in keeping with our “Early and Safe Return to Work” program, we will work closely with all parties involved in order to minimize lost time from work and return our employees to suitable employment as quickly as possible.

Our People

The Net Electric Group is comprised of senior Systems Management Professionals, Electricians and LEED certified engineers, backed by software and hardware application consultants, six service vehicles and an installation division.

Together, they’re experienced in performing audits and identifying needs and pain points of your current system operation, in turn illustrating your inefficiencies, and indicating where and how you can reduce your carbon footprint/maximize your carbon credit solution.

Ove Bakmand (President) Ove is the principal owner of Net Electric Limited. He is a co-founder of the business which was first incorporated in 1976. Mr. Bakmand oversees the overall business operation and upholds the strong corporate values based on integrity, honesty and reliability. Email Ove

Tom Beros (Sr. Vice President) Tom is a partner in the business and manages the day-to-day operations including estimating. Mr. Beros joined Net Electric in 2007 and brought with him many years electrical estimating and Project Management experience. Email Tom

Libo Nercessian P. Eng. (Vice President) Libo joined Net Electric in 1979 and is a key element in the success of the business. Mr. Nercessian oversees the engineering, co-ordination and change management of all large projects. Libo is well respected throughout the industry by his peers and business associates. Email Libo

Lisa McKinlay (Office Manager) Lisa began with Net Electric in 1987 and is responsible for maintaining office services and efficiency. She is also responsible for office staff support and the maintenance of office records. Email Lisa M.

Lisa Young (Safety Officer) Lisa brings over 15 years of construction experience to Net Electric. She is responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing our employee safety and coordination.
